ISN'T SOMETHING MISSING?
isn't someone missing me?
[/size]Two girls walked down the bright streets. The sun hot against the gravel as they walked down the sidewalk. The one girl, an older teenager, wore a classic look that fit well to her bodice. She had tumbling rich brown waves that framed her pale, petit face, and large brown eyes and thick eyelashes. She wore a tank the color of blood, that seemed to strike out her full lips, and darkened jeans covered her legs. She wore a pair of black flats on her feet. A large tote-like bag was slung over her shoulder. Hanging from a unbreakable hold on her hand was a little girl. This girl looked similler to the older teenager, she had the same wide eyes, but they where the color of the sea, and her hair curled the same way, but was a blonde color. She had on a cute little sundress with a color of pink. The two moved swiftly forward over the sidewalk, the little girl making slight 'squee' sounds as the sun reflected in to her eyes, causing the older teen to lean down and run her fingers through the small girls hair. She smiled and stood back up, nudging the little girl to move a bit more. "Lets go for some lunch at the Jamba Juice, sweetie." She murmered, and the little girl nodded quickly. "Yes pwease Ally!" The teenage girl smiled.
Alice Dessderra Raintree was the name of the teenager. And no, the little girl was not her daughter, it was her little sister. But in this smaller town, many of the people believed that the little girl was her own, and if that, she probably had her when she was like, fourteen, but it wasn't true. Alice just cared for her little sister than the father did, and her mother died soon after little Violet was born. Well, her mother died of suicide, that is, and her father was gone having sex with cheap whores or away on buisness. So really? It was just Alice and Violet in their large house, and the eighteen year old was left to watch the little girl herself, while juggling school and a non-existing love life. She was playing the job as the mother, father, and sister of a five year old girl. Her father had ruined her life, well, not her real father. Her real father was somewhere she didn't know, she lived with her aunt and uncle. But their idea was that Alice was Thomeses daughter, and she didn't really want to correct them. Thomes was more of a father than her own was, and that isn't saying much. Because well, Thomes is truly an ass, and Alison was the only reason he was truly nice to her, and now that she was gone, he didn't care an ounce about Alice nor Violet. Alice was their not real, but fake daughter, and Violet was the reason of Alison's death in his eyes. She shuddered.
Alice led the small girl in to the large cafe. Sliding over to a small, wooden table near the side, she reached for the nearby booster seat, and placed it on the wooden chair. Quickly lifting the small girl up, she stuck her down on the seat and moved to her own. "Watcha want Violet-bear?" Alice spoke. Her soft voice caring for the smaller girl, the small child's eyes brightened and she started to wiggle in her seat. "I want grilled cheese!" Violet cried, making Alice smile. "Okay bear, I'll go get it." She moved out of her chair, and looked at Violet, making a motion for her to stay, she moved towards the counter. It was pretty empty today, not many people, which was good. Alice hated the conversations she had with the others teens around school about Violet, they seemed to think that she was a whore because she always had the five-year-old clinging to her side, and since it looked somewhat like her, it must be her own. They didn't care how she insisted it was her sister, because they all knew that Thomes was never around, and that her mother died before they moved here. Died of cancer, as they thought. Alice twirled her wallet in her hand as she waited in the line, her loose waves fluttered at her sides. She glanced up at the women at the counter, her face going red. "One grilled cheese, a ham and lettuce sandwich, a coffee, and a milk please." She ordered quickly, glancing back at Violet. The women nodded and moved to get the food, leaving Alice to place the money on the counter. Alice moved over to the side of the counter and leaned against it, eyes on Violet, but mind wandering elsewhere.
